We are currently working our asses off on the new record! Drums are being recorded with the help of Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Behemoth, Soilwork) and the guys of Arsen-studios who supplied us with some high-end gear. At the moment, we’re about to finish the vocal recordings, and the result so far sounds simply amazing. Martin is doing a great job and his vocals come across more variable than ever before. While Martin is basically working on his own in Karlsruhe, the others were busy recording guitars and bass in Freiburg, Grenzach-Wyhlen and Weil am Rhein...actually we spent most time travelling from one city to the other...arghhhh! It is pretty hard to describe how the new songs sound. While listening to the rough mixes, I’m trying to find possible comparisons...sometimes it feels like Slayer, sometimes like Pink Floyd. You can definitely hear a strong Progressive Rock vibe in the vein of Porcupine Tree or Tool, on the other side it’s straight-forward Rock and Metal more than ever before! It´s the first time that we´re recording an album on our own and we´re a little bit excited. All songs are written and feel great and we can´t wait to play them live for you. It will be a great mixture of progressive rock, smellin rock´n ´roll and metal. in early march we´re flying to sweden to mix our album with Daniel Bergstrand in the DUG OUT STUDIOS. Hey there, some news from the Fear My Thoughts-HQ: We won´t be lazy for the rest of the year,and shake our asses in some southpacific beachresorts,as you guys maybe expect!We´re in the midst of the writing process of our new record wich will be out in 2008 via Century Media.Some songs are close to finished,others are far from that. You´ll recognize some more experimentation,and also some raw and dirty in-your-face-songs you probably didn´t expect. Martin seems to be a driving force in the songwriting-process and comes up with some weirds ideas every now and then. The recordings will start in February 2008 with the helping hand of Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah,Darkane,Nine,Soilwork,In Flames).We´ll record the album by ourselves in our own studio down here in southern germany , Daniel Bergstrand will help us out with setting up the Mics and doing the soundcheck. After the recordings are done,he will take care of the Mix in his Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala/Sweden. Looks like a shitload of work,haha *We played our last show for this year in the "Sternen" in Auggen! It was sold out and definitely a blast! Bernd ,the owner of the club,is an amazing guy.If you want to party once,go there and have fun. Thanks go out to our cool supportbands IdiotBoxx and Final Kings. * Last subject and better late than never:BIG THANK YOU to all the Bands and People involved in the amazing HELL ON EARTH -TOUR 2007!
